The article 5 Lessons Children Need to Avoid PTSD is a wonderful resource for families, teachers and therapists. In the 60's Kliman's book Psychological Emergencies in Childhood proposed that smaller traumatic events could help immunize children and prepare them for the stressors that occur in life. At the time I was living and working as a psychologist in Israel. I helped the Ministry of Education choose articles to be translated for a book for teachers about helping children deal with what is now called secondary traumatization. I would have picked this article for that book! Keep up the good work!
